sbc cams
just wondering who makes the best sbc marine cam these days,howards,comp cams,lunati voodoo,if you had these 3 to choose from,in flat tappet, if it was a roller than Bob M at Marine Kinetics or does he make a hydralic flat tappet to.

i run the comp cams extrteme marine xm270h with crower cam saver lifters.this is what is sounds like..and yes with the rite valve springs (320 psi @ .500 lift)it will rev to 5800+ rpms...[YOUTUBE]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLdeNiyk0Ew[/YOUTUBE]

its a volvo 280 no trim,,can it and go...runs 72 mph and will rev up to 6200 at that speed...anyday of the week with 4 people 68 @5800 rpm's..

I ran the same comp cams in my old nova II and loved them. good sound and great performance. I ran standard comp lifters and the recomended comp springs with no issues. brad penn oil. flat tappets need lots of zinc in the oil to be happy.

sounds good,i have the 350h.o 330hp @5000rpmsthis winter im up gradeing to the xm270h flat tappet kit,might run crower lifters and heaver springs ,see what the builder thinks,looking to make 400 hp and 425 torgue it has a edlebrock performer rpm intake,holley 650 carb ,ngk plugs,full msd ignition,4inch revolution marine aluminum exchaust,64cc vortec heads,full ss roller rockers.

Good news is you have a lot of choices. I'm currently running a full roller Crower EFI series cam set up (LM00483) and it works great. I have about 70 hours or more on the motor with no issues.
