Geez Traviss.....zits on a hooker......nice.
But he's right on, that's what it looks like. Little "balls" of the fusion coating that you can actually flake off with your fingernail if you wanted to. I just don't touch them so I don't have bare aluminum. But they do look "used" even though they are only 3 years old.

I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad here about their EMI exhausts, but those EMI's (from what I have noticed) also choke the exhaust gases pretty well with its small 2.25 or 2.5 inche opening oriface on the risers. That goes for any other manifolds with risers that squeeze the exhaust gases down to a small area like that. I'm sure they're better than the stock Merc cast iron manifolds but even Merc's are the same size on their risers. That's really kinda small for a high performance engine. GIL's breath easier than the EMI's because their tailpipes are about 3.5 inches inside diameter and a 4" outside diameter. A used set of GILs are plentifull and reasonably priced now a days. Plus the design of the primarys within the GIL manifolds are one of the better designs for a manifold style exhaust system. They scavenge the exhaust gases better between ports 5 & 7.
