I have a 35 sonic 725sc, bravo drives, I was running 84 mph
My drives are too low (7" below bottom). The faster the boat goes the more it pushes the nose down. I added 2 more lbs of boost picked up 200-300 rpm but no speed. So I thought I'd try nose cones. When I raise the drives I figured I'd need them anyway.
Hydromotive told me they wouldn't help with my current set up
Imco said theirs would help so I installed them
Couldn't get over 76mph and the bow was even lower at slow speeds now, what a waste of time

everyone tries to reinvent the wheel. Mercury designed the Bravo to run deep in the water and the rounded nose is the result of lots of testing. nosecones or pointed bullets only work when the drive is up high enough that it does not sheer the water when trimed out otherwise it is just adding drag. the round bullet supplies clean water to the prop no matter what angle it is trimed at. unfortunately you will either need to raise the drives now, get another set of lowers or take the cones off.

remove the nose cones and if your running a hydromotive Q?? prop they lift the stern and drive the nose into the water..what year sonic? step hull?you may want to try a bravo 1 4 blade's
