carb base plate for Gaffrig flame arrestor help
 

I bought a used 10" diameter Gaffrig flame arrestor but need a base plate for it to go around the holley carb.

Anyone know where to get one or what I need? Looks like it needs to be around 8" in diameter to cover the bottom of the flame arrestor.

Figure I'd ask on here before waiting until next week to call Gaffrig.

my guess is you have edelbrock or holley 4150/60 carb with 5-1/8 top flange. 8 would be for holley dominator carb. looks ike nobody makes adapter. could get aluminum disc made, just check for interferences, or swap for right one

Okay that makes sense. Yes I have a 5-1/8 top flange .... Looks like I'll have to make a custom plate then. Thanks.
