I don't know if any of you guy's ever run this stuff, but my engine builder swears by it, he says its one of the higher zinc oil's out there, this is all he runs. Coarse he runs it in all his 7 sec drag cars, who know? It called "CAM 2 Blue Blood" Has anyone heard of it? here's the link.

The HTHS viscosity of the oil is probably a better indicator of performance than all of the chemicals.

Brand Penn 20W-50 is 6.2 which is pretty high.

I use Joe Gibbs HR-1 It is high zinc for off road use only.

The biggest thing I notice is that after a hard run, I still have lots of oil pressure when I come back to idle. I have tried Rotella, Mystic, Brad Penn, Castrol etc. None of them kept my pressure up when super hot.

I thought you wanted more zinc in your oil to break in the cam, wouldn't the Lucas Oil break in oil be the best or add this to your oil?

ROTAX454 09-27-2012 02:02 PM

Beyond the obvious break-in oils, I thought the Joe Gibbs product would have been #1. Very happy and surprised to see the the Mobil 1 SJ product rated the highest. Nice to know.

IMHO why would you purchase a specific break-in oil? Just pick your favorite brand and add some break-in additive. Purchased cheap at either Summit or Jegs. GM brand, Redline, etc. Lot's of choices.
