Comp Cams Rockers
 

Anyone have fitment issues with the newer Comp Cams Ultra Gold ARC rockers under stock merc. valve covers?, the rocker arms themselves clear but the locks do not.

I believe one of the members recommended a double-thickness valve cover gasket from Summit (?) I think.

I have taken the factory vc with o=ring and sealed it to a extra thick rubber steel inserted vc gasket with great stuff and it sealed perfect, has cleared stud girdles, t/d shaft rockers etc, I also took air sander and sanded off the oil drippers inside them, Smitty

As Smitty did, I had to grind off the oil drippers on mine, but the locks still won't fit on stock VC's. The locks are way longer than they need to be. There is a guy down the street that has a mechanic shop with a metal lath and I paid him $40 to shave the the 8 that stick up the highest (intake or exhaust), and they have work perfect under the valve covers. Maybe someone makes a shorter lock!
