I suggest making a list of features that the boats you are considering have. Some features may be deal breakers, it's your money so you decide.
Features I like on my 29' Fountain that my last performance boat did not have:
Electric engine hatch
Electric seat bolsters
GPS Speedometer
2.5x fresh water capacity and electric pump
Battery switches under seat instead of engine compartment.
Batteries in cockpit compartments instead of engine compartment.
Fresh water flush systems
Anchor locker
Pop-up cleats
Swim step ladder w/compartment
Oil temp and water pressure gauges
Oil and power steering coolers
Latham steering vs cable
Real trim tabs vs sheet metal
Trim and tab position indicators
140 gal fuel capacity
Pump out porti potty
Silent choice - nice when idling around marinas and a bunch of other boaters who don't "appreciate h.p." the way we do
About 9 m.p.h. increase in speed with similar power
Things I liked better on my old boat.
Much more cabin and storage space (you don't really get a spacious cabin until you are into a 38' Lightening or larger IMO)
Taller windshield, real glass, with windshield wipers (I put a heater in the boat, and with a full top was able to use it year-round).

[QUOTE=On Time;3801702]Back4More you mention the look of a Fountain. Tell me what boat looks better from the air or dock than a 42 Fountain? You do get used to the profile on the water and I like it now too. And check mine out: (That's the boss up front...)[/QUOTE
On the trailer too, Thats for sure!
The boss likes to drive it while idling...its fine with me.

Cool Ride and great Boss! I like the jacket. Looks like a good idea for Christmas...

I love my 25 Outlaw with the only complaint being very little room between the rear bench and bolsters. It is comfortable for 3-4 adults buts gets crowded with more. These boats are not fast at all and takes quite a bit of power to get them going (ask me how I know). There is a 2008 26 Outlaw on Ebay right now which I think could be had for $55,000 and has a 525 EFI, I would think it would be a mid 70's MPH boat.
