Default dead spot on throttle advance 496 ho

When winterizing i noticed there is a dead spot when advancing the throttle on my 496ho . As i advance, it will slowly advance to 1000 rpm and then its dead till 2000 rpm where it just jumps to 2000. I cant run it at 1500 rpm , Its 1000 or 2000. But seems to be normal above the 2000 mark.
Any thoughts, think its throttle position sensor.

Noticed that today with mine. Does the exact same thing. Can move throttle up to about 1000rpm then it jumps right to 1800 to 2000rpm. I wonder if it is normal for it to do that? Winterized mine today so i wont be restarting mine for a few months

The min i can run is like 2800 under load so i never really noticed any problem. It must not have done last time i ran it out of the water as i did not notice it. I also noticed this year as i was comming off of full throttle a few times it seemed like that motor would come down at a different rate than where the throttle was till i slowed down alot towards cruising rpms 3400.

mine does something similar it doesnt seem as drastic, it's probably just the ecm going into closed loop or something of that nature
