I ran a couple of Merc 420's with iron exhausts for a couple of years with no reversion. They were about 226/236 .540/.560 lift or so. Crane made them and they were used in 370, 400, 420, 525sc.

are you sure about stock specs ?

That link you posted has incorrect cam specs. Not uncommon in the merc manuals!
