Are using the HI6 or HI6M. Are you using the hall effect TB distributor? Did you phase it?
I believe the HI6 uses the Violet (+) and Green (-)

This winter I am going to try to hook up a knock module and sensor. So when the module sees knock from the sensor, it will source voltage to a relay. Then the relay source (-) to the HI6M brown retard input wire and the retard ignition timing to what I set on the box.
