For starters what pistons are in the short block? Your going to need domes for around 10:1 compression with aluminum heads. Or put a blower on it which then you would probably need a dished piston.

I was thinking on going aspirted for now seeing thats the rotating assembly set up that came with the block. I read up on blower engines last night and its a lil out of my budget right now to go back into the block to change the pistons seeing that i would have to also buy a blower on top of setting up the block. I also did some research and saw that these blocks aspirated commonly put out 650 but i was just wondering if any one had any suggestions on a set up that can get me to 700hp

So what came with the short block? What do you have to work with?

Ron Potter built mine, it is 10.5 to 1, 345 merlin heads ported, 500 efi manifold ported, with a custom throttle body, and a large solid roller cam, 698 horse, 692 torque, and it only spins 5650.

Ok, lets try this again. What generation/brand block do you have, regular/tall deck, who makes the rotating assembly, and what CR are the pistons going to make with what CC heads.
