Default 454 cracked heads please help!

Ok here is the run down. I bought a 89 24' Mach 1 with a 454(only 80 hrs!) last year. Before i got a chance to take it out my father managed to put 3 cracks in the heads. I pulled the covers and seen that it has gold rockers bolted on it and all the components look basically new. The cam is a bigger cam but i do not have the specs on it. My problem is that i can not seem to find th rectangle port heads bare. I came across a set of 781 heads that has 2.065 Int and 1.720 exh valves installed. Can i use these and just bolt my rocker arms and springs on this? i know the best is a valve job but im just looking to get the motor functional so i can enjoy some time on the water. Also the heads have new valve seals & guide plates.

How did your dad manage to crack the heads? Was it run to hot? You may want to check a few more things like rings and cylinder walls.

1) either you bought it this way and it froze b4 you bought it or 2) if he over heated it to put 3 cracks in the heads then you have more problems then you think..
