You definitely will not be able to use the stock pump to make 800 hp. I would also question the stock filter adapter with it's 1/4" NPT. Their is a replacement that will bolt right up in the exact same place but it has 3/8" NPT. I think that would be a smart move.

I started doing some playing around this weekend. I have a couple of 575's in the shop, so I made some templates of the throttle body mount. I then milled my own plate out of 1" aluminum plate. I plan on placing the injectors in this plate, that's why I had to make it thicker. I still have a way to go, but I got a pretty good start on it. I'll post some pics as I go forward with it.

I also pulled the injectors out of the throttle body. I'll need to make a block off plate to cover the hole that is left. What a difference without those injectors in the way. If I get a chance, I'll flow the throttle body with and without the injectors in place.

After I finish making the above injector plate, I plan on making one with a completely new injector mount, throttle body mount, throttle bodies, etc. It will be very similar to the one posted earlier in this thread. I've made them in the past so it isn't a big deal. i want to get the above replacement one completed first because I think more people can use it. Also, it will be quite a bit cheaper, mainly because you will be able to reuse the stock throttle bodies. The other big thing is that it will only raise the overall height by .200". Although that my still be too high for some, it should work for most. The other one will probably raise the overall height by at least 1".

I was playing around with an injector plate and fuel rails that I made a while back. I had these hard coat anodized black. They are set up for 12 injectors, that's why there are 6 holes per side.

Here's a pic of the Edelbrock plate installed over the hole left by removing the Injector pod:

Thanks SB. I had no idea that someone made a plate already. That will save me some time. Do you know if it is still available?

I have a question. If you plug the fuel inlet to the TB, would you even need the plate over the injector cavity?

Once you remove the injectors, the fuel inlet and all the other crap comes out with them. It wouldn't really hurt anything to run it without the plate there. It would be able to pull air through that hole instead of it all coming through the flame arrestor.

As Eddy said, Yes, it would be a big open hole going up into the inside of the flame arrestor, defeating the purpose + use of the Arrestor.
