Default How much time???

Should it take to replace the upper seals on a Bravo 1 drive? I mean the whole job from removing the drive from the boat, removing the input shaft, removing the top and replacing all the upper seals. Then, re-assemble, pressure test and re-install including replacing the lube and refilling the bottle?

I think I have a mechanic that is trying to rip me off and am curious to see what this should cost and how much time it should take. He is already overcharging me for the parts (185 for the yoke and 91 for the seal kit). The drive came apart easily and off the boat easily.

Any ideas?

I think it should be about 4 hrs total for labor. The price on the seal kit sounds about right, don't know about the yoke. I think they charged me 2 or 2 1/2 labor to disassemble, inspect and reseal my lower. R & R on the drive is shoulod be 1 hr labor.
