He never got it propped right, he wanted more speed out of it. The motor ran perfect it just had like 24 percent slip with the prop. I'm not gonna sit here and go back and forth. OP PM me and I'll give you his number and you can talk directly to him.

540ci and procharger? OP said whipple, however the senerio wouldn't be much different. As the motor increases in rpm, the blower should be kicking in and the ECU is enrichening the setup to run with the blower. A 540 and procharger would have had to be programed for it to run right and now it needs to be redone to run without the Procharger. OR, buy a procharger and put back on it.

No need to get all defensive. The thread said he never got the speed or more than 4500 rpm out of it. I was letting the op know someone has been down this road with this motor. Not saying there's anything wrong with the motor itself.

sorry it was a procharger, not sure why i said whipple...but why it wont turn over 4000 revs +/- is where im stuck. i contacted the builder and will be talking to tyler crocket to get his thoughts about tuning it...hopefully the injectors arent too big, my boating fund is depleting rapidly this year, and the procharger is not an option. 900 HP is also waaay more than i need to put ahead of a Bravo I.
