Good call Kris, I hit if with some liquid refrigerant and a butter knife, finally came up! You`re spot on, the corrosion on the flat portion was preventing it from coming up.. I~ll reduce the diameter.

That's excellent when you're out at sea and clog a strainer. Be sure to bring some liquid nitrogen to keep in the cuddy just in case.

I'll stick to my ugly vintage perko style strainers. Had them in every boat ive owned and never a issue! Just went thru spending half a day f'n with a leaky strainer lid on my buddy's fancy KPM strainers last week. Pissin water in the bilge like a mofo. But they look cool! :(
