Is saginaw steering actuator the same alpha to bravo

yes its the same. I dont know what year but they converted to a brazil valve for the alpha/bravo that you can buy as an upgrade for a little more then a used saginaw. They(brazil unit) are on ebay for cheap, then you can either buy the hose kit from merc or have a hydraulic shop put new ends on your existing hoses for around $45

What is wrong with yours? I have one about to go in the dumpster in perfect shape. any mods done to your Excel? I have a bone stock 1990 looking to go faster this winter.

The bolt that holds the steering cable has about 3/4" of play in it
My excel has 509 with 6-71 blower makin 760 hp and xr drive, makes it a pretty fun ride
