I would definitely retard the timing. I'm not a whipple guy but I know with that kind of cam and a procharger you could put 16lbs into it safely with no water meth. The water meth stuff is usually used to cool down the intake charge rather than add octane. Mainly when not running an intercooler. If your running that motor on the ragged edge you better hope you have a good meth kit cause if the solenoid doesn't come on you can kiss your motor good bye. I know in the past the water meth kits were not very reliable and guys spent big money figuring it out...

Its 600 with 8.200:1 compression, supper chiller, Dart pro heads, 260 intake at 50 and 268 exhaust at 50. 714 lift intake and 731 exahust 114 deg. It has a new Whipple 8.3 blower on her running 10PSI of boost at 800feet. Runing 91 fuel timming is locked at 32. Plugs are l Ngk 8s. What do you think is safe running meth 50/50. Was thinking 13-14psi would be 100% safe. Afrs around 11.5 Two 12 gph nozzles of meth.

Check E85, it strongly cool intake air.
High octane rating and much better
detonation protection than regular gas.
I use it my car with 60%gas / 40% E85
and wont need bigger intercooler or catles
downpipes and still can use 17psi boost levels.

Retarding the timing doesn't always increase exhaust temps. If you have a good enough flowing port exhaust temp should not be affected. It's always better to turn back the timing and make a run. Slowly add timing and pay attention to performance. As soon as it looses a little it is pre detonating. If you run moly rings and it detonates one time it will eat the moly right off the rings...
