Engine R/R Hours and Rates
Did a few searches but want to verify and get some current numbers on engine removal/replacement. Boat is a 303 Formula. Twin 454's with CMI E-Tops. Imco hydraulic steering. I'm thinking no more than 10 hours per side for R/R? What is an average shop labor rate now? $75 - $90? TIA.

Sorry, let me clarify a bit here. Looking for what most shops would charge hour and rate-wise. I know there are a bunch of guys here that wrench on their own that can R/R their engines in a fraction of the time most shops will quote. Thanks.

Boat load... It is a buddy's boat. Drives and headers will not be removed prior but I agree that would save some coin.

Yea,Techs like nothing more than to have something half apart when they get it.if Your gonna do that might as well disconnect it all then have a Wrecker come pull em.
