Distributor collar needed??
Went to drop the TB IV distribtutor (92577) in my 502 and it goes to far in? It feels like it is spinning the oil pump but it does not engage to cam gear and will spin?? If I pull it up about 3/8-1/2" it will then engage the cam gear and it seems normal??? Does it sound like I need a collar to raise up the distributor? Is this normal? What size collar do I need? I am a Mopar guy and know my way around hemis and big blocks but I am not feeling too warm and fuzzy right now?? TIA TBF

Dist is 90577...... I am using a new rpm air gap intake no milling......

Sounds normal to met. I run the same Thunderbolt IV on brand new Gen VI 502s. I changed gears for billet rollers and there are two different shaft diameters but that should not make a difference. When engaged it should be fush with intake. There is a gasket make sure that is there or you will have a leak.

is the gear installed up side down?

Why yes it is! Eff....... Thanks a bunch Mike..... I had to get a special gear to use with the billet cam and I installed it upside down? Gear is at the bottom now so that would make sense why it's effed up..... Changing it around now..... Thanks Bro, I owe you one!
