Default Anyone running GGB inserts?

Did a search for GGB on here and the majority of the posts are from 8+ years ago. Any recent experience with there inserts on semi-dry or dry pipes? I am at 108db at an idle semi-dry and would like to get down to high 80's with just insets. Prefer the clean look of no clamp on!

Thanks in advance
Jim

I have the inserts and clamp-on GGB's that are 10 years old give or take. The inserts on 4.5" dry pipes lowers the sound by about 10db's. The custom clamp-ons with water added at the very end and turn downs got it to 87db's with no power lose. I was at least as loud as you without them. I needed to wear a helmet to make the sound reasonable beforehand. Hope that helps.

How long are your inserts? They have 4 different lengths on the website all the way from 5.5" long to 16" long

They are 10".
It's very unlikely any insert will get you the 20db drop you’re looking for. You will need more to get there. Honestly I love the way mine look and work.

Not semi dry, but I'm very happy with my 5.5" inserts (CMI e-top 4" tailpipes on a 525SC). I got them from GGB last spring.

My dry to the tips measured in at 108db. Now I'm now around 90db with my Gaffrig switchable mufflers.
I use to love the noise, but now I would never go back.

Yea I been doing the totally dry thing now for about 3 seasons. About ready to quiet it down a bit. Even thinking about turn downs.

I run the 8" GGB inserts with CMI E-Tops 4.5" dry to tips. I did a video compare with inserts in and out, noted about a 8dB drop with them in but that was idling on the trailer. Not sure how it would be WOT on the water under load but I'm thinking they'd surely help! Funny but I actually think my motor sounds better with them in at WOT, maybe just my opinion though!
