not totally true, the pressure regulator is different, fitting where pressure line screws into as well the spring under...also been told that the marine one uses a bearing on the front for the shaft VS a bushing, never took one apart to verify, but have used GM truck ones and swapped out the regulator and spring from the marine to keep pressure the same...

Then I could take out the spring and regulator from my old one. Gees Merc wants $600.00 for a new pump
from the stealership. Found one at NAPA $45 1989 Corsica. Don't have it in my hand yet so we will see. I've been told that it works.
