Default HP 630 Lamborghini

Flipping through a 1989 Mercruiser catalog and found this motor. V12, sounds very cool. 561ci, 8.4:1, 5500rpm line, 6-2V carbs, with SSM 3 or 4.

Anyone ever see one of these or know anything more about them? What a motor. Would love to learn more. What boats installed these?

Wow, wish they still made it.

popular in the early 90's aluminum race cats Cougars and CUV's if you look for some videos of "Chairman of the Board" in Key West you can hear them winding up. what a sound! fantastic in real life. everyone got excited as they entered the harbor. a lot more history here on OSO if you poke around. -

Search 'nas-t lamborghini Sutphen' on you tube. He's the one that got me into this hobby. I believe he has 7 of them now. What an awesome sounding setup

I looked at an old Baja 420es. I believe it was a 1989 model year. It had SSM IV drives on it. Story was, it was a "Miami Boat show special" edition, that had the Lambo engines. When I looked at it, the lambo engines were gone, and it had 540 Chevys in it i think . It was all solid red hull. Really cool boat.

Speaking of Lamborghini here in grove oklahoma a guy last week lost control and hit a tree , killed his wife and he's in hospital with burns. Dam car exploded if you can find it online maybe in the geove sun newspaper I can't believe it burst in flames.
