Default Bravo 3 tilt limit switch

I noticed if I turned the out drive all the way to the starboard side I can see the clamp where the tilt switch and tilt sender goes into the transom. Has anyone tried to remove the tilt switch without removing the drive through this access?

Yes I do it with a 1/4 inch drive. When you put it back on tape the bolt to the socket so it stays in place.
