7.4 Thermostat housing old or new??
SubscribePlease help my thermostat housing got lost in a move and refurbish. I have a 1988 Chaparrel Villian 111 with a 7.4 Mercruiser Bravo1 and cant figure out if my housing was the old design or new. This has been a 5 year project and planned on getting in the water this year (so please don't judge me for not knowing, I cant remember ha ) The model # on the valve cover is worn off so not sure on model #

Ayuh,.... You can use the old style, Or the new style, so long as ya plumb yer manifolds to match,...
