Question ethanol fuel messing up Gas Tank sending unit???

I have a 388 Hustler that the fuel gauge is reading high, I am guessing that maybe the ethanol has made the float in the gas tank swell or made it more buoyancy and making the gauge read high.

Could this cause that? I'm guessing it has a float material or plastic like a Holley carb that floats in the gas.

Anybody heard of anything like this???

Ive always drained my tank at the end of each season,I get most out, I also been running the additive, and now since I had 2 fuel line failures, filter full of crap.Im buying my fuel at the local dock that claims non ethanol 93 oct

Thanks
Rob

I have heard of this. It's common on Corvettes. I've read that a can of Seafoam in the tank does the trick.
