Default best prop for 26 Daytona

For those of you that don't know - I installed a -3 inch shortie this spring - I also changed the drive ratio from 1.5 to 1.34.
The 28 Bravo 4 blade that I ran last year with the -2 shortie wouldn't get the boat on plane. I borrowed a 5 blade Maximus 26 from Dick Tryce.
The boat gets on plane now by reving it to 4000 RPM and it goes on plane slowly.
I am going to try adjusting the drive stop and the ram lengths to try to tuck the drive under the boat a little more. This prop really hooks up once on plane.
But I think it is creating too much transom lift because I am having a hard time flying the boat.
will cutting the bell off of the back of the prop help with this problem.
What is the best prop for this boat?
