Passed by congress, moving forward and then last minute personally blocked by Carter. He is 100% personally responsible for us being decades behind while he catered to the auto industry. I believe all domestics are metric now. Not sure when GM started with metric motors but the bodies have been metric forever. I wish everything was metric. The only thing I dont like about metric fasteners is they have 3 or4 differnt common thread pitchs.
