Anti-freeze is a good lube for this also. Nothing will stay in there for future disassembly. You will just have to break the seal with a screwdriver or something and spray some kind of lube in there if it's hard to get apart. I run the blue silicone hose too. It's worth every penny. It's more flexible too to help take stress off the headers.

Couple of tricks to get hoses, bellows, boots and exhaust hose on and off. for installing use dish soap.& water mix or glycerin or water base KY this is also great for installing new impellers into its housing plus avoiding dry starts of all impellers,
also for installing and need a leak proof seal is use Merc perfect seal and install hoses . bellows, exhaust hose & boots before it drys - things will slide right on a lot easier plus help better for a leak proof seal. Aviation seal is basically the same stuff as perfect seal.
Also installation for really tight fits of hoses, bellows use Mercs power tune spray the area, things will slip on a lot easier plus good for removal as you apply it then .
Next is the grease that I mention Super Lube clear grease is the best stuff for both install and removal. website. www.super-lube.com
For removal of hoses, bellows, exhaust boots & exhaust hoses, a radiator hose pick of different lengths works great also a hair dryer set on medium or hot will help as well.
Removal and installing fuel line - on / off hose barbs use a spark plug boot puller tool - the one that looks somewhat like pliers with insulated tips. So much easier using this tool.
