What is your initial timing set at? It is my understanding that going to a module that allows you to run more initial timing may help it to idle better in gear and it may boost your vacuum signal. A lot of guys with big cams and blowers, etc., have gone to the V6 module, which allows you to run 20*+ at idle.

from what I understand, many have a self tune deal now, which work for milder engine setups, boosted, and more radical ones will require some tuning on your own...but that's not that bad one unit is close...

I'm locked at 34, I've tried several custom bushings in my MSD distributor and it runs best overall locked at 34. My cam bleeds off enough compression at low rpm that I don't get preignition when getting on plane. I just get the engine cranking before I bump the throttle although once it's warmed up it fires instantly.

What was the total cost per motor for this swap, Rookie?

The complete kits with fuel pumps, harnesses, throttle bodies and computers. I believe were around $2400ea then add on labor for rigging; return lines, wiring, welding O2 bungs etc...

Ouch!

So that, plus heads and intake would turn a mild MPI 509 into a pretty smooth operator for not a lot of coin.

Definitely, a Dart single plane, pair of Dart heads, Jims cam and the FAST EFI setup. Pretty simplistic smooth setup.

Lol, if I wasn't on the fence about if I am going to put my blowers on our not I'd probably already have these setups. I agree that it is some decent coin, but for NA systems it's the least expensive complete bolt on setup there is out there.

FAST told me they do t reccomend their system for a marine application. Any issues other than mounting the O2?
