blower size help

Have a 540 that is being built and it's got a 871 littlefield excellent shape. What would be the plus and negatives of going with a 1471 on top. It does have a chiller. And it's 1 to 1 right now and made 9 lbs with 502. Now heads and all are different so will 871 be fine or ????? I'm about to go procharger the roots gets confusing to me

8-71 will still be capable of supporting over 800hp on the 540. A 14-71 will be too big and inefficient at the under drive ratio you'd be spinning it at.

Ki was hoping for 950 from 871 if I kept it. Procharger seems the way too go. I just don't want to overdrive it too much . That's why I thought of a 1471.

Go with a 10-71, won't be spinning it too hard and should be able to make 950 with proper supporting equipment. Jmop but I wouldn't go with a. 14-71 for anything less than 1200.

An M4 sc would give you all the power you want.

Do you want to sell the 8-71 to help you do whatever you are going to do?
