wiring help
 
Replacing engines and found a scare connector next to the engine wiring plug. I have a hunch its for my trim. any help would be great. Attached a photo.

looks like the connector for corsa exhaust,it goes to the solinoids

It could be but I could only find the pneumatic air tubes leading up to the silent choice.. Its on both sides where the engine connector is.

Are they mpi motors? If so that plug I believe is the one that links both engines together so they both go into limp mode together. It's usually a yellow wire goes from one engine to the other.

Yes they are MPi. When I was tracing them back they had already been cut by the previous owner It seems. Motors are gen v's so I don't even think they had limp mode..

Year model / boat and model and info about your engines plus the engine serial #'s really could help getting some feedback. Yes you have a mercruiser cannon plug but really would help if other info is known about your app maybe to possible pin point what the connector is used for...

Looks like three pins ..I think op was right .It is late model trim connector .They quit using the round one they'd used for 40 years
