Default Where's oil thermostat on merc 525 please

Friends eliminated oil temp climbing . I looked for oil stat but didn't see it , not really familiar with that engine any help would be great , thought just yank it for the weekend ?

it is in the black block that the filter screws on.to remove it you put pressure on the disc and then remove the retaining clip.

On the 525EFI its in the block adapter. Where the filter would go if it were a car.

What Mild said. Down on the lower port side of the block. You will have to remove the entire block adapter in order to remove the thermostat.
