Never a bad idea to get the crank cut for an extra keyway, esp if you're gonna use a cog blower belt. How much power you hoping to make with the new build buddy?

Yes Mild that will be done . 850 hp @ 5800

Hey thanks for that . Yes , sticking to the original 509 plan using my crank . New rods and pistons as per RMbuilder . I have to keep my nose out of swap shop till this is done . I'll be at the limit of my gen VI block as it is .

i have the gen 6 blocks and they do fine up to 60 over,i had real good leak downs even on the bores that were hones 2-3 time on rebuilds,i was scared of it past 60 but after buying new dart block i found a lot of people running the m past 60.Tyler runs them at 100 all the time, also I got the dart cheaper than the new gm gen 6 block,

Ive been running 8.5 boost, since 2005 on that block, yea i baby it 80% of the time, but I have no problem holding 5000rpm if i need to catch up

Bob will not steer you wrong!!

I know most builders etc want ya to buy all the good stuff so its less chance of failures, you gota decide how you run it,if they made a gen 6 aftermarket crank at the time maybe I would of bought it, but from tearing mine down over the year just to see how it was holding up, Its not needed!!!

ck out my rebuild thread, ital show ya what all i did
Rob
