Default Trying to identify a pair of Mercury OB's

I'm looking at a boat that has a pair of Mercury 250 EFI's on it and I'm trying to find out the year of the engines. The boat has been sitting for about 5 years and I'm trying to figure out if these are original to the boat or have they been replaced at some point? The boat is a 98 Donzi ZF34. Wher do I find the numbers giving thus info and where do I research them? 2 Numbers that look promising are QG65506 and A13L00654 but everything seems to have a number on it. THANKS!

The Merc outboards have a plate on the transom mounting bracket that has the year of manufacture tthe serial number. Also if the motor hood is just one piece, then it is a 2002 or newer 3.0L V-6 EFI 250 hp. The Merc Optimax has a completely different cowl and graphics. The prior cowls for the 250 EFIs had a separate plate on the top rear that was an air intake. The seller should be able to provide you with the appropriate information. If not, then I would stay far away.

OK so that QG is an 0G, my eyes aren't what they used to be. I guess they are original to the boat. It's up for sealed bids at our club which has possession and title of the boat now since being left by the owner who owed monies to the club. I'm trying to figure out what the boat is worth as it sits needing a trailer and I'm assuming a pair of powerheads. Otherwise it's in pretty good shape for a 1998 and should clean up nicely. Any thoughts on what its worth? Fully rigged hull, no damage except for some sun dulling the gel coat on the top deck which looks minor and should buff out. Needs a good bilge cleaning, everything electric looks in tact, no butchery. Bilge is dry btw. Cuddy and head in good clean condition and theres the 2 engines at least good for cores. Everything is in tact.
