Thunderbolt IV sensors

What would cause 2 distributor sensors to go bad? weak spark no spark crazy ! I do have an alternator problem that I am chasing down but this has been going on for 3 weeks until today when both motors have no spark. Using the Thunderbolt troubleshooting guide it all points to sensors. Last week the mfr ran 80mph LOL

Question is why??

+1 on the grounds. Also, make sure your connections at your battery switch are tight. If they loosen up, it will cause the alternator to work harder.

Was there any work done on the boat recently by chance??

The sensor pickup, requires a separate ground lead coming off distributor, also if you are having an overvoltage issue with alternators, that will damage sensors and control modules. RF feedback, into 12v circuits.

Thank's for the reply's, towed boat down to Brand X and handed it over to Jason. I plan on keeping the boat in florida for the winter and enjoying the scenery.

Alternators were both putting out but once I tested at batteries the port voltage was all over the place. Grounds were tight and connected including distributor. Chased it down then handed it over to the professionals. I build better homes than repair boats ! !

As usual something down there has caught my eye LOL....
