Nowhere to put the o2 sensor that it wouldnt get wet. And i dont have one anyway

If you have the Merc dry joint exhaust you put an O2 spacer between the manifold and riser. O2 sensor is in the dry section of exhaust at this point. Lots of folks do it. You will be asking yourself why you didn't do it earlier once you can monitor real time AFRs. No guess work if its ignition or fuel related when you run into problems. No plug reading BS etc.

Yup, and you need the sealing plate for the squarebore (Holley) carbs. 100% fact. Or vacuum leaks will plague you.

You can also use the Holley Plate that also holds the Throttle Morse cable too as an added bonus if you don't have your cables set up to your carb yet.

BTW: if you get the plate from Edelbrock, the gaskets are paper. They suk.

I use a open spreadbore gasket under plate, and open squarebore gasket on top of plate.

Mr gasket's gaskets are decent and cheap.

Too funny: I just opened my carb base gasket bin and guess what was at the bottom. The Edelbrock sealing plate. LOL.

I have both, either will work. Wags has a nicer finish but not passages around the sensor so water can pool on the top side of the elbow. I currently run Dennis Moore's spacer. There are good pictures of the installation on his eBay page.

I also run the MTX-L wideband shown.

As a technique I also drain the manifolds at the end of the day.

Well im in luck. I am using the Holley plate to mount my throttle cable. :-) Looks liek thats not it :(

Im also using Mr Gasket carb gaskets. Both ontop of the plate and on bottom

neither of those will work for me. My manifolds are shaped different.

Have you taken out plugs to see if wet from water ? Or removed a manifold to see if water is being pulled back in /

I have 0 experience with that exhaust set up.

BTW: I absolutely dispise cheap EBAY chinese ignition components, as you know, and you are changing.. Not a big fan of MSD stuff Marine, but that's a dependability thing many run into some years down the road. Some don't.

If the bolt spacing is the same the spacers will work. You don't need water flowing through them in your case.
