I have 0 experience with that exhaust set up. BTW: I absolutely dispise cheap EBAY chinese ignition components, as you know, and you are changing.. Not a big fan of MSD stuff Marine, but that's a dependability thing many run into some years down the road. Some don't. I know msd is known for some reliability problems the way I looked at it was that if it has an issue its 50.00 to repair it. Got everything installed last night and yeah.... Ignition was my issue. Haven't even timed it yet (it was late) and can aalready tell a drastic difference. Now its a matter of dialing everything else in. Should be on the water Saturday. I'll be very happy if I can swing a 21" prop to 5k |
71/83 is a lot of fuel for a 350 that has a power valve i would try like 62/66

No.
Low 60's would be leaner than lean. Even thinking of jetting in the low 60's makes my sphincter pucker. Maybe high 60's will be okay for primary, but doubtful. |

Not that it's the same carb, but one of the mid 300hp 350's i did had a 650 VAC and ended perfect at 74/84. I felt it was perfect anyway. Again, not same carb, so don't use those jet's. Just showing an example.
As I repeat all the time, you'll find with universally performance calibrated Holley's: Most 600's + come with jets in the 60's Most 700's + come with jets in the 70's Most 800's+ come with jets in the 80's. Depending on the Dominator, high 80's and most well into the 90's. Just the way it is. |
went out to the lake on saturday and boat ran great. no isses, no hesitations, nothing. Ran 63mph with the 21 pitch prop i had spinning right at 5k rpm.
Little bit lean according to the plugs, so im going to go up a little bit, but i forgot the jet kit at home :( thnaks for the help |
