You'll need to install a Mercury AGI box behind the dash (analog gauge interface) . That will convert the signal sent from the harness from digital to analog and allow you to use the older style gauges. That's how my boat is rigged, although I also have a Smartcraft screen.

I want to do this as well execpt i have a 2005 400ss and i have the digital screen readout. If i install this am i still going to be able to use this screen? The way the connections look are if they take the connecters right from the vesselview screen inputs.
Also i have 496 HOs with the vessel view, do you know which p/n interface box would work for me?

For everyone who has Smartcraft (digital gauges) you will need an AGI kit (Analog Gauge Interface) in you have 2 motors you will need too. They cost about 120 bucks each.
I contacted this guy from a parts store and he was able to get me the exact p/n to match my boat… send him and email Brandon Hockers <[email protected]>
