Are you sure you're not hauling around 1000# of lake water in the belly of that old girl?

I have 12QT pans, no oiling issues lol
His engines had "741" crane off the shelf cams. I remember when the original guy from chicago area built them over 10 years ago.

Yes, I would have used my Gm blocks, or went more ci in the new ones to get that stump puller TQ back, probably 315afr heads with my old cams and left them low rpm stump pullers and saved lots of money.... That combo was hacked together but pushed my boat.... At the same time I have some very nice parts that I would have probably bought anyway but who knows... Or sold it all and bought the 750hp #3 cafe Matt been selling for 35,000 and went boating

I feel I was led to a big number that would pull my props to that ho range and it didn't happen, so yes I feel pretty bummed I guess if I get it back to where it was speed wise and it stays together then f it, later I will put blowers on and better drives or leave it be and use it every weekend, why boat if you can't enjoy it??

Too bad we couldnt have flowed those gellner prepped pro comps against the new afr heads ...on the same bench. That could have really started a chitstorm !!

Wouldn't accomplish anything. CFM is a small part of the power story.

So we'd fight about the other things we would have no measurement on.

I still say FF drank too many bears and ate too many hotdogs this year working on his boat.

That's the mph difference. LOL.
