Jesel moves the oil band on the lifter compared to a crower I did use Jesel bushings but they were solid and had to drill oil holes in them. I'm extremely happy with the part selection/ fitment. Trying to get my ducks in a row for spintron end of the month beginning of next...

The going rate is $1000.00 per day plus $75.00 per hour setup and tear-down with one of the best in the business. Operator and tech support included. We will be providing the custom AFR 385 head with test spring assortment and pushrods for testing. There is an enormous amount of data collected and reviewed prior to the spring selection. The primary challenge is stabilizing the 150 gm Inconel exhaust valve (although the 2.350" is not light) which will translated back to the entire AFR marine program.

We cleaned and cleaned and cleaned the block a couple weeks ago.
After that we masked it up and I shot it with ppg epoxy primer and dcc concept. I put some flattening agent in the paint to knock down some of the gloss. When we mocked up a piston/rod in each of the 4 corners, we found the starboard bank was .0025 different from front to back. We checked this so when we stacked everything up and calculated the volume of the combustion chamber/gasket area we could determine how much to deck the block for final CR. (This was all done pre paint, of course) block went back to the shop for the final decking and is now ready to be assembled. http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/b...ps3ehwqgu0.jpg |

Thanks BB. :D
Almost sold the crank and used a dragonslayer, but I'm happy I kept it. We're using coated ACL bearings. I might send the carb back to have it totally "rebuilt" (you know, have carb cleaner and air blown through it and the bowls polished). :fear: |
Looks good, not bad for guys who don't know anything... lol

I see the Chicago group is looking to shut down another thread with their banter. Hopefully more members will see whats going on and help in the their removal from the site. I reached out to a moderator last week about the constant name calling by 1 of them, that did not work so I took another route over the weekend resulting in a closed thread.... that must be their agenda.
