Default Corvette C-7 LT1 Engine for marine use?

Has anyone looked into using a Corvette C-7 LT1 engine
for marine use? The engine has amazing HP and torque.
There are those that say you need big cubic inches, but
the LT1 fells like a big block.

Years ago I put a 350HP 327 in a 18ft SeaRay. The boat ran
great, but it did take awhile to correct reversion problems.

I always wondered about that too. HP is HP and torque is torque and with the weight savings over an iron big block, seems like it would work well. Not made for marine use so closed cool or flush religiously.

The LS thing has always been on the back of my mind. I have a friend who owns a large autoyard, and is into boating (used to have a top gun). So I could get a donor motor cheap. Its all the electronics/computers.fuel injection stuff that scares me. Hell I rewired my entire boat from scratch, but looking at all those plugs, sensors, pickups, black boxes etc just baffles the hell out of me. Change a cam. no problem, change exhaust, fill and make new holes in the transom for the new exhaust, no problem, Try and figure out out 8 different ign coils and the right crank trigger hooked up to god only knows what else..definit problem.
