My story is rare on this forum. Very little WOT time, probably 3-4%. Most cruising at 4200-4500. We used to go faster but my "governor" kicked in after my kids were born..... Oil change every 20-25 hrs only Merc 24W-40 oil dino until they came out with the semi syn now thats what I use. Fresh water use only. Original headers with no mods. Recent pressure test with winterizing was 100%.

My story is not going to be too far off. Same low to no hours high rpm, just cruising. U said fresh water, must be on Conroe? Im in Katy, boat exclusively on Canyon Lake. I like your "rare" story. What yr model are your 525s? Also, who works on your engines?

Yes boat only sees Conroe, and Travis when it has water. My mechanic is Clear Lake Powerboat Service. The Marlago has outboards and only sees salt water.
