It looks like a modified OEM pan to me, nice piece, I think if its an aftermarket pan it would have someone's name on it

Canton, Moroso, hamburger, most of what I see looks like modified OEM pans, besides some with notches for strokers, funny these do not, I wondered if they will clear my 540's but then again, last year I had 4.375 stroke cranks with stock pans so I guess that should not be a concern?? new cranks are 4.25 stroke

MAybe someone copied this??

these are 740.00 each WOW!! I can get both these pans with pick ups and dipsticks for 700, maybe it is a real good deal.....even if home made they are very nice, really don't seem home made with the baffle flapper in there...

Looks like a modified pan that started out life as a stock oil pan - then someone moded the kickouts into it for the extra oil capacity.

I'CE 01-01-2015 07:24 PM

could be a "Dooley Pan" they use that inside style cross brace with trap doors.

F-2 Speedy 01-01-2015 07:27 PM

Im running stock gen6 pans on my 540's no clearance issues, they look good to me if you have the bilge clearance run em

Unlimited jd 01-01-2015 07:28 PM

So your old setup was 557"?

The pans kick out is exactly the same depth as the mounts I have, almost like they are meant to be together, the pan does not go lower then the mount, very cool...!

LOl yea, pretty much, was trying to see pricing thats why I wanted to know, but the quality is amazing really, they are not Dooley, looked them up... but all the real nice pans are big money so maybe 700 is a good deal It seems

4.375 stroke x 4.530 bore.

SB 01-01-2015 08:40 PM

OP's pan looks way more like a Milidon than a Canton. Canton's I'm used to anyway.

Full Force 01-01-2015 08:49 PM

I do know the thickness of the metal in these pans is WAY better then most of todays pans, I have no idea how old these are either, but he got them somewhere and never used them, offered them to me when I asked if he had any pans he has tons of stuff around...

BUP 01-01-2015 08:54 PM

Small capacity looks like dry sump ??

SB 01-01-2015 09:21 PM

Yep. Those 4 fittings are for scavenge lines.

I'CE 01-01-2015 10:46 PM

Full Force, if you could ask your bud if he has some Gen4 pans, thanks in advance, 10 qt be great, Gill or whatever.

airjunky 01-01-2015 11:22 PM

That looks like someone copied the old gen 4 stamped kickout 10 quart ,look at how the dipstick tube attaches compared to a crate motor 6 quarter.slim Pickens for the gen 5 and 6 guys for stamped ,outside of oe. Had a guy in jersey fab me up some 502 pans once ,low profile front sump app ,only does aluminum ,from scratch want to say it was around 500 or so each .check your starter clearance before you get real exited ,usually have to change a few things there with big dog pans if you don't want to pull motor to pull starter unless your Gumby

vintage chromoly 01-02-2015 02:38 AM

Aren't your new dart blocks mark 4 architecture?

Unlimited jd 01-02-2015 06:05 AM

4.530x4.375
Can also get displacement by 3.14 x radius2 x stroke x number of cylinders.

yes just checked my part number, I wanted the 1pc rear seal, not the 2 pc junk leaker..... lol

Unlimited jd 01-02-2015 06:39 AM

Be careful of crankcase pressure pushing the seal out. In case you have an issue, that you think you can fix quick, just check the seal. Bit me in the ass last summer

The 1pc is a leaker also.
