it will look worse in 10 mins of running...as long as the clearance is correct it will be fine..I would NEVER turn them over dry my .02

When i put bearings in i clean the back side of the bearing and block/rod woth brake clean and a towel that wont leave anything behind. Then i put the bearing in and clean the face of it the same way. Then Put assembly lube on the face and assemble immediately. Assembly lube and oil attract dirt out of the air and it will collect .

STP works good as assembly lube. :)

Cranks undergo serious distortion under load. David Vizard went as far as to claim that line hones aren't really necessary on budget builds because the cranks distortion under load makes it trivial.
