The trouble with Blowers is:

The trouble with my blower is she doesn't seem to be performing at full capacity. I mean WTH, I give her pretty much anything she wants or asks for and all I was looking for was a little extra head work while we were on the road! Anybody else have these kind of issues with their blower(s)? and just in case she reads this, I'm not really talking about what you think I'm talking about....

Girlfriend, wife, or paid for by the 1/2hr ?

offshore312 01-20-2015 01:41 PM

you really know how to put a guy on the spot here... any answer indicating which it is could prompt harsh reactions from one of the others. I'm thinking it's actually a fuel issue, as the blower seems to perform best when Tequila is involved.

SB 01-20-2015 01:46 PM

Gotchya.

=======================

Remember,
You need to warm up the motor before it can go WOT.

sea6 01-20-2015 02:19 PM

New rings will surely reduce your blowers output.

LMAO...and add quite a bit of weight to the stern.

Trying to avoid that, as I've seen this happen before!

CDShack 01-20-2015 02:52 PM

This is funny shiat here, I don't care who you are!

Sydwayz 01-20-2015 02:59 PM

You don't pay for a blower to work. It's implied.
You pay for a blower to leave.

True enough, the first one cost me close to a half mill...
I will say that I've had the current blower for five years, and no ring job yet :party-smiley-048:

halfbuzzed 01-20-2015 03:07 PM

just literally laughed out loud, my secretary just looks at me like ummm... are you working? lol

Flightplan 01-20-2015 03:09 PM

We can't always blame the blowers. It could very well be the size of your fuel log.

Don't mention what you LOL'd about. You may have to pay that one to leave too; without even getting to look at the box.

GPM 01-20-2015 03:20 PM

I always heard on a new ring job, one party says I do and the other replies I don't any more.

My blower gives great headache...

Well, since blowers typically have tight tolerances as in a "press fit"... insertion can be a challenge while trying to avoid the teeth on the top side of the blower...

Drew555 01-20-2015 06:18 PM

If you put a peanut in a jar for every mile you got out of your blower before the ring job. Then pull a peanut out of the jar for every mile after the ring job.... You will never ever run out of peanuts! It's a fact!

Drew555 01-20-2015 06:21 PM

Someone told me about "roofies"? They said they work well... But I can tell you they don't... I took 10 of those things and no one raped me!

They worked for Bill Cosby

SB 01-20-2015 06:37 PM

Should we really be happy if our blower is Coast Guard Approved ?

So I shouldnt have taken them? I'm supposed to give them.... Sh$$. What a waste of money

Ballistic Beak 01-20-2015 06:58 PM

The best part about the blower while performing it's job is the 15 minutes of silence

Ryan

the deep 01-20-2015 07:01 PM

Ice in the cheeks on this model blower makes for a fine chiller .

Drew555 01-20-2015 07:05 PM

The problem with most blower is when they are wide open sometimes they neglect the ball bearings . Never neglect the ball bearings

phragle 01-20-2015 07:08 PM

Fresh rings also immediately induce blower whine.....

Drew555 01-20-2015 07:10 PM

True.... But that whine will soon quiet down until you just don't hear anything... At all!

SB 01-20-2015 07:13 PM

Why buy a Blower Dyno when you can be one ?

sea6 01-20-2015 07:51 PM

Before the ring job, I used to be able to mount my blower on top or alternate locations. Never had a complaint about the fuel injection, either.

sea6 01-20-2015 07:53 PM

Anybody have their blowers compression reduced as the hours tick upward?

That is a very common problem. Come with the ring job

I have found that a well placed palpation just above the main induction port after pumping up the blower will produce a sound known as a "queefe". If said blower's compression is in good order, the tone of the queefe should emulate as a higher pitch indicating good compression while a lower more rumbling tone would indicate sever use with looser tolerances....

I figured that 35 fountain would come with twin blowers, twins are always better than single blowers. However, one blower usually becomes upset, quits working and cost a lot of money to fix the situation.

Drew555 01-20-2015 08:14 PM

After my ring job I Woke up with 4 little buoys .... They have also been a major decline in blower output...

The queefe is the blow off valve for to much pressure:thankyouthankyou:

The best way to explain how a engine works in general ( suck, bang, blow).
I like my girls like I like my weekends, short, full of beer, and gone by Monday!

Tinkerer 01-20-2015 08:31 PM

You guys are so dead. Glad my wife didn't read this.

Brandonb_05 01-20-2015 08:35 PM

Mine is to busy with pinterest, making a list of home improvements she wants done. Time to send her to the blower shop.

I'm not dead, well maybe just mostly dead! Mine caught me laughing at all of the posts, so she said she had to read 'em and she was laughing her hot little A$$ off before she was half way through. Only time will tell what the outcome will be... she may kill me in my sleep, or she'll be working on the afore mentioned roadhead this weekend. Now if I'm not around tomorrow...the result will be obvious.
