What kind of build is this? |
Unfathomable that a QFT could be less than perfect right out of the box.

Figured it wouldn't be long till u came in with some useless posts as usual.
The fact is: QFT completely fouled up this carb. |
Yes they did! These are "every nut and bolt new" 572,s Dart Tall Deck, Edelbrock 355CNC Heads, 10.5 comp..etc... These are the first QFT anything I have ever had my hands on...impressive looking piece though...just whoever assembled these smoked a fatty after lunch one Friday I guess? :bong: My Baker Engineering Fuel pump is going back too...putting the other one on tonight. Pressure and volume are PERFECT! The bad oil leak...not so nice

Well, good thing you are experienced and caught it.
Some other poor bastard might have gotten it, bolted it on and destroyed his engine. |
BINGO! That's what I told QF....we were talking...would QF stand behind their product and pay to fix that poor bastards melted chit?? here another one.(sorry..I just say it like it is..good or bad) These Edelbrock heads...again...looked "nice" but when we disassembled and inspected (cuz thats the way I am) One pair...perfect...the other pair (and these were ordered at the same time) had 2.250 Intake valves stuffed in a hole designed for 2.300" valves!!! again...If IU would have just bolted on outta the box (as they advertise) and sucked a valve....would Edelbrock stand behind it???
|
Wow!!
As far as carbs go I never once in 20 years had issues with them out if the box... But anything can happen |
