Fast EZ-EFI 2.0

Anybody have any experience with this system in any environment? Thoughts on it?

Thanks

I was seriously thinking about buying one until I researched it and read all the horror stories...

I have the first version and love it. There are a few little tricks, like adjusting the throttle blades properly to limit idle droop when shifting as the iac can be a touch lazy, but it has performed wonderfully.

Look into the Holley HP EFI system. Works amazing for marine use.

I have been looking at both, Holley is $1000 more $.

I helped JimV install and tune 2 systems on a pair of 540's he built. As stated earlier there were a couple tricky things to address. Tuning was pretty straight forward, answer a few questions, choose your AFR, RPM and go. Just a couple things to consider. It is always tuning (need O2's) & NA only. Once it was setup it ran flawless all summer. I was also considering the Fast EZ 2.0, but I will eventually be going to blowers so the Holley HP will probably be my choice if pricing is reasonable.

Looks like they're about the same price on Summitt, but the Holley is more powerful, more durable, more expandable/upgradeable, coast guard approved, has better tech support, and is more versatile. I can beat both those prices, and give you a base tune to get you going, or help you tune it remotely.

I ordered my Holley through Haxby Speed. Very happy!

What's the difference between the HP, Dominator, and Terminator EFI's from Holley?

Rookie 04-17-2015 11:59 AM

The Dominator has more programmable I/O's and some transmission stuff.

"Both systems share the same firmware. Hardware
The following differentiate these two ECU’s:
- Wide Band Oxygen Sensor Inputs
o HP – One input
o Dominator – Two inputs
- The Dominator can control certain Drive by Wire throttle body applications, the HP does not.
- The Dominator can control certain Electronic Transmissions (GM 4L60/5E and 4L80/5E), the HP does not.
- Inputs and Outputs
o HP  2 high side (+12v) PWM or switched outputs
 2 low side (ground) PWM or switched outputs  4 Multi-inputs
o Dominator
 20 high side (+12v) PWM or switched outputs  16 how side (ground) PWM or switched outputs  6 speed inputs (magnetic or hall effect)  30 0-5v sensor inputs  13 Multi-inputs
- The Dominator has a “configuration input selection” pin that allows up to 4 calibrations to be selected with a key switch."
