Wrinkled Looking Vinyl......what's up?
I looked at a 2 year old center console boat yesterday. All of the seating vinyl had large-sized looking wrinkles in it. It wasn't loose or discolored - just wrinkled. It's a second owner boat and current owner says he bought it like that. What's going on with it?

Wrinkled passengers.
Most likely Vinyl wasn't installed, cut, or seamed correctly.

The wrinkles are almost like a pattern across the whole surface area - not near the edges where it was stitched.. It appears to be like big fish scales I can't believe a manufacturer would let the boat leave the factory like that. My guess is that the wrong cleaner was sprayed on it or it was overheated? The foam is not dented down in any way.

Poor fat chicks.........
Anyway, the wrinkling is not the design of it. The vinyl in question has the carbon fiber texture. It looks really cool except there is a noticeable large wrinkle pattern in it from side to side. Looks like wither it was superheated or cleaned with something that didn't agree with the backing of it. There are no dents in the foam and it's taut too. Never seen anything like it before.

Sometimes there is a thin layer of foam on the back of the material that comes loose and bunches up. Need to take it all apart to fix it.
