Default upgrading to 33c cables

Putting a new shifter/throttle assembly in the boat and I can either buy adapters or new 33c cables. I want the new cables, but what else do I need to make the change?

Factory merc shift bracket and 502 throttle body. Current cables are marked 12', I'm guessing that's the length I need to use with the 33c's?

Hey cole, depending on the shifter brand, you might need special ends for the cable end up there.

Like my setup, I have the zero effort Kiekaefer throttles. They use a little metal hook style end up at the shifter. But on the engine side, I have the red plastic cable ends like you posted.

What kind of shifter you installing? You may already have the 33cc cable in the boat?

I do recommend the "extreme" cables or whatever they are called. few bucks more, but are smoother operating and better made than the standard red jacket cable.

Sup Joe?

I'm installing the Dana marine side mount. It specifically calls for 33c's, came with cable ends already tapped 10-32. Solid unit for sure, all machined aluminum.

I'll take a look at the extremes, thanks!
